Vaughan Security Guards, from the VMC Towers to Kleinburg

Vaughan is building a downtown from scratch. Secure 24 Seven provides licensed guards and concierge staff for the high-rise condos and construction sites of the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, on-site and patrol security for the industrial lands along Highways 400, 407 and 427, event and retail coverage near Vaughan Mills, and house watch for Woodbridge, Maple and Kleinburg homes.

Vaughan Metropolitan Centre

Security for a downtown that’s still under construction

The VMC is Vaughan’s planned city centre, centred on Highway 7 and Jane Street just northeast of the 400/407 interchange. Line 1 of the TTC has ended here since December 2017, and towers have been climbing around the station ever since. Read the district like a building, top to bottom.

R

Crane Level

New towers on active sites: hoarding along Highway 7 and the new local streets, concrete pours that run late, deliveries stacked up before dawn. Overnight and weekend construction security keeps the gate log honest and trespassers off the formwork.

32

Residential Floors

Freshly registered condominiums with new boards, first-year move-ins and parcel rooms that fill by noon. Concierge security runs the desk, books elevators and keeps fobs and visitors in order.

12

Office Floors

Office towers and mixed-use podiums need a reception-grade guard by day and access control once tenants leave. Our security guards work from written post orders built with your property manager.

G

Concourse & Transit

VMC station, the Viva rapidway and the SmartCentres Place bus terminal funnel commuters past ground-floor retail and parking entrances. Visible patrols and garage checks keep the street level calm at night.

Below the Skyline

The industrial city along the 400, 407 and 427

Manufacturing is Vaughan’s largest employment sector, and most of it sits a few minutes from the VMC towers.

Concord & MacMillan Yard

Hwy 407 · Keele St · Rutherford Rd · Jane St

CN’s MacMillan Yard fills the block between the 407 and Rutherford, with manufacturers, trucking firms and warehouses on all sides. Businesses next to rail lands deal with fence breaches and short-cutters — our patrols cover your side of the line, logging every gap and gate.

The Highway 400 Corridor

From Steeles toward Major Mackenzie

Distribution buildings, showrooms and trade suppliers with highway frontage. High-visibility sites get dumped on, broken into through rear doors and used for after-hours parking. CCTV monitoring with immediate alarm response suits most of them.

Woodbridge & the 427

Along the extension north of Highway 7

Since the Highway 427 extension opened in 2021, new industrial buildings have kept rising on Woodbridge’s western edge. It’s a mix of active job sites and newly occupied warehouses that need gatehouse and yard coverage from day one.

Crowds by Season

Around Vaughan Mills and Canada’s Wonderland, the calendar sets the staffing

Canada’s Wonderland sits in Maple, east of Highway 400 between Rutherford Road and Major Mackenzie Drive, with Vaughan Mills about 1.5 km to the south. Hotels, restaurants, plazas and venues nearby see their traffic rise and fall with the park’s season — and so does the need for event security and retail loss prevention.

Spring

Opening Weeks

The park’s season typically opens in May. Patios reopen and hotel parking fills on weekends.

Summer

Peak Days

The main season runs through Labour Day. Lot patrols and vehicle break-in deterrence matter most here.

October

Haunt Nights

Halloween Haunt runs late on October weekends — late crowds, late closings and busy after-hours traffic.

Winter

Holiday Retail

WinterFest dates and holiday shopping at Vaughan Mills bring the busiest weeks for store loss prevention.

Dates vary each year. We schedule guards against your own event plan or trading calendar.

At Street Level

Vaughan’s home communities

Large detached homes, often empty for weeks while owners travel, are where house watch and alarm response earn their keep.

Woodbridge

Market Lane shops on Woodbridge Avenue, Humber valley streets and the long-running Woodbridge Fair. Storefront patrols and home checks.

Kleinburg

A village on Islington Avenue, home to the McMichael Canadian Art Collection and estate lots on the edge of the valley. Vacation watch and alarm calls.

Maple

Family subdivisions around Major Mackenzie Drive and the Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital. Community patrols and plaza coverage.

Concord

Where homes meet industry and the VMC. Mixed routes covering townhouse blocks, yards and new towers.

Thornhill

Vaughan’s side of a community shared with Markham. Mature homes and busy plazas along Bathurst Street and Centre Street.

Vaughan FAQ

Pick a floor

Our VMC building just registered and the next tower is still a construction site. What should our desk cover?

Residents first: fob control, visitor and contractor sign-in, elevator bookings for move-ins and parcel handling. The construction next door is the builder’s responsibility, but your desk should know who to call when trades wander into your garage — we write that into the post orders.

Can you add guards to a hotel or venue near Vaughan Mills on busy weekends?

Yes. Many properties keep a base level of coverage and add guards for peak weekends, long events or late nights. Tell us your dates and we’ll schedule against them, with the same guards returning where possible so they already know the building.

Our Concord warehouse backs onto rail lands. Will a patrol check the back fence?

That’s usually the first thing we add. Each GPS-tracked patrol visit includes your rear fence line, with photos of any cut or lifted sections. We stay on your property — the rail corridor belongs to the railway — and report any breach to you right away.

We spend the winter away. Can you look after our Kleinburg home?

Our house watch service sends a licensed guard on a schedule you choose to check doors, windows, heating and signs of entry, with a photo report each time. Pair it with alarm response and we’ll also attend if your monitoring company calls.
