A letter to King property owners
To the owners, managers and families of King Township,
In the city, a neighbour hears the glass break. Out here, the next house may be across a hayfield, and the laneway to your front door can be longer than a city block. That changes everything about protection. A response plan for a King property has to say which gate code opens which entrance, where a guard should park so the driveway stays clear, and which landmark on the sideroad marks your turn after dark. We write those details into site-specific post orders before the first visit, so nobody is guessing at two in the morning.
King City’s village shops cluster around King Road and Keele Street — mostly small, family-run businesses that close in the evening and benefit from a lock-up check on a patrol route. Beyond the village, homes stand on the rolling, kettle-lake country of the moraine’s southern slope. Many owners split their time between King and elsewhere, which is exactly when house watch earns its keep: scheduled visits, interior checks for frozen pipes or leaks, and a photo report each time.
Nobleton lies on King Road between King City and Bolton, just north of Kleinburg along Highway 27. Horse farms line its eastern side, and new streets have filled in since a wastewater system made larger-scale building possible. That combination brings two needs: construction security for custom homes and subdivisions, where lumber, appliances and equipment sit unattended on open lots, and quiet overnight checks for barns and paddock gates.
North of the moraine and south of the Holland River, Schomberg keeps a curving village Main Street set apart from the highways. Its fairgrounds sit at Highway 9 and Regional Road 27, and seasonal gatherings can fill a small village quickly. Organisers of private and community functions here can bring in event security for gate control, parking direction and a calm, visible presence; shop owners on Main Street can add alarm response so a licensed guard attends whenever the panel trips.
King is horse and farm country, and its northern edge takes in part of the Holland Marsh, one of Ontario’s best-known vegetable-growing areas. Working properties carry things worth stealing — tack, tools, fuel, trailers and machinery — in outbuildings that no one watches overnight. A mobile patrol on randomized timings, with every stop GPS-logged, is a practical deterrent; pairing it with CCTV and video monitoring on barn doors and equipment yards fills the hours in between.
Weddings in converted barns, corporate retreats at conference venues, golf-club dinners and milestone parties on private estates all share the same rural quirks: one narrow entrance, unlit lanes, a field used as parking and rented tents left standing overnight. Our event guards handle guest-list checks at the gate, direct traffic on the lane, keep an eye on valuables and stay after the last guest leaves to watch the rentals until pickup.

P.S.
Yes — that is what the post orders are for. Before coverage starts we record your entrance, gate codes, where to park and any landmarks, and responding guards use them every time. Alarm calls are dispatched immediately, and the guard reports what they found to you and your monitoring company.
P.P.S.
Extended absences are a common reason King owners call us. You choose how often we visit; each visit covers the exterior, gates and outbuildings, and interior checks for heat, leaks or signs of entry if you give us access. Every visit is logged with photos.
P.P.P.S.
Typically: welcome and check guests at the lane entrance, guide parking in fields or overflow areas, watch gift tables and bars, help manage the end-of-night departure, and, if needed, stay overnight with tents and rentals. Coverage is sized to your guest count and the property layout.
P.P.P.P.S.
We do. Barns, equipment yards, fuel storage and tack rooms can all be added to a patrol route or covered by video monitoring, with gates and animal areas noted so guards handle them correctly.
Down the road
Our King routes run into Vaughan to the south, Caledon to the west, Aurora and Newmarket to the east and Richmond Hill to the south-east. See the full list on our service areas page.
